Opening an Existing Data Base

This procedure is used to open an existing data base and display it to the screen. You may obtain additional help by clicking the underlined topics. If you do select an underlined topic, you may return to this procedure by clicking the Back key.

  1. 1Select the Utilities task from the task menu.
    Select the File menu. If the database required was one of the last four opened, it will be shown at the bottom of the file menu. Click the required name to open it. Otherwise continue with the following steps.
  2. Select the Open command.
    Any currently open data base will be closed.
  3. Use the Open File dialog box to:
    Select the required folder.
    Select the required existing data base.
  4. Select the OK button to open the selected data base.
    The data base is displayed in the same manner in which it was last closed.
