Changing Attributes

(The Computations module is required for this procedure.)

This procedure is used to change the attributes of existing objects in the data base. You may obtain additional help by clicking the underlined topics. If you do select an underlined topic, you may return to this procedure by clicking the Back key.

  1. 1Ensure that the required data base is open.
    Refer to the procedures for creating or opening a data base.
  2. If you wish to change attributes of multiple objects in a particular region of the data base, ensure that a block which defines the required part of the data base is active.
    Refer to the procedure for defining a block.
  3. Select the Computations task.
  4. Use the Attributes commands to set the required attributes.
  5. Use the Edit/Attributes commands to:
    Select the mode by which the objects to have their attributes changed are selected.
    Select which attributes are to be changed.
    Select the objects and change their attributes. Refer to the Edit/Attributes commands for the various methods of selecting the required objects for single element and block mode.

The selected attributes of the selected objects are changed to the settings made in the Attribute commands in step 4.
