Process Level SheetProcess Level Sheet

Creates a level sheet from a Field File and allows the elevations of the points to be updated in the data base.

The Field file must have been created by reformatting a Raw File using the Field Transfer/Resolve/Create Field File command. The source of the Raw file observations must be a Leica Digital Level.

Item Used to
Look In: Select the folder where the field file is to be selected from.
File name: Key in or display the name of an existing field file.
For any processing to occur, the field file must contain records of the following type, which are generated when digital level data is reformatted. Refer to the Field File Structure topic.

  • type 331
  • type 332
  • type 333
Files of type: Select the type of files to be displayed in the file list.
OK Validate the Field file for errors and warnings, and if the validation is successful, the level sheet is produced and may be printed or saved to file via the report editor.
  • If any problems are encountered in the reduction process, then a report will be displayed and they may be viewed or printed in the normal manner.
  • If there are errors, these should be rectified using the Edit Field File command and the field file processed again until successful.
After selecting OK the Update Elevations dialog appears offering further options when processing the data. Details on these options are shown below.
Cancel Close the dialog box without creating a level sheet.

Item Used to
Add elevation to points without elevation Select that Main points in the data base, without elevations and with identifiers the same as in the level sheet report, are to have their elevations updated.
Update elevation of points with existing elevation Select that Main points in the data base with elevations and with identifiers the same as in the level sheet report, are to have their elevations updated
Cancel Close the message box without updating any elevations.
