Item | Used to |
Code Table | Select the code table that you wish to use. The feature codes of the selected code table become available for selection in the Code field drop list. Change the code table if you wish to change the feature code of the selected point to a feature code that already exists in another code table. |
Point ID | Key in the point identifier of the required point, or alternatively use the mouse to select the required point and have its identifier automatically placed in this field. |
Code: | Display or edit the feature code of the selected point. To change the feature code, key in the desired code or select a code from the drop list. You may select a different code table in the code table drop list to see that code table's feature codes in the code drop list. Selecting a feature code from the drop list will change the attributes shown in the various fields to accord with the settings in the code table. Note that the symbol dimensions and direction will not be changed. Having feature codes already set up in the code table with the required attributes, and selecting the appropriate feature code in this field, is therefore the fastest and most convenient method of changing point attributes to that desired. Code tables may be set up and edited via the Utilities/Tables/Code Table commands. Altering the attribute settings in this dialog box will not alter the code table settings. Selecting an existing code previously defined in the code table is a quick method of changing the attributes. However, you may key in a code not contained in the code table and/or define the attributes as you wish. |
