Menu Selection: From the Computations task, select the Create/Point command and the Method/Distance/Distance Intersection command.

  • The OK Button creates the new point.

Notes:
  • The Elevation Control will only be available if the elevation attribute is active.
  • Provided the distances are sufficiently large, there are always two possible solutions for this algorithm. If there are two solutions, after the OK Button is pressed, a further dialog box will be displayed and one of the solutions highlighted. Use the Reject button to toggle the highlight between the alternate solutions. Use the Accept button to create the currently highlighted solution.
