Undelete LinesUndelete Lines

(This functionality is available with the Computations module)

Restores line objects and their associated points deleted since the last use of the Utilities/Maintenance/Clean operation to the data base.

For the purpose of undeletion, a line object includes line, arc, circle, spline, splay, radiation and offset objects.

The Edit/Undelete/Lines command is selected from the Computations Task.

Item Used to
Whole file Define the search area as the whole file.
If inactive, only the current screen area will be searched.
Therefore, leaving this check box inactive and windowing into a particular area of interest enables you to quickly locate the line that you wish to undelete.
This item is not available if a block is active.
Inactive groups Include groups not currently displayed in the search for deleted line objects. Refer to the Display/Groups command.
This enables you to undelete lines without the need to display the relevant groups. Do not activate this check box if you don't wish to undelete lines on non displayed groups.
Line No Display the currently selected deleted line number.
This field is not used if a block is active.
First, Next, Last Select the first, next or last deleted line object in the search area. (Not available in block mode)
These buttons are not available if a block is active.
In single object mode, the deleted line found is highlighted on screen and its number placed in the Line No field.
Undelete Undelete the currently selected line object.
In single object mode, the line shown in the Line No field is undeleted.
In block mode, all deleted line objects defined by the block are undeleted.
Deleted points associated with the undeleted line objects are also restored.
Deleted lines cannot be restored if:
  • the data base has subsequently been cleaned using the Utilities/Maintenance/Clean command, or,
  • the line number has been re-used by another line, or,
  • any of the points associated with the deleted line have been deleted and cleaned from the data base.
