| Description |
Delete a vertex from a line, leader, alignment, polygon, shape (pipe) or terrain model.
|
| Notes |
-
Objects in the same location are picked using the following criteria:
- Layer draw order - Objects on layers drawn last are selected first.
- Object type - Line, alignment, polygon, terrain model, shape.
- Unique identifier - Objects created first are selected first.
- If more than one object is using the vertex, or if vertices are very close, tentatively pick the vertex until the correct line, leader, alignment, polygon, shape or terrain model is picked.
- The vertex is deleted from the specified object only. The vertex is retained by all other objects using the vertex.
- The vertex is deleted from the project when there are no remaining objects using the vertex.
- The vertex is deleted from an alignment, only if it is the first or last vertex in the alignment.
- If deleting a vertex results in less than the minimum vertices required to form the object, then the object is also deleted.
- Vertices can be deleted from straights, arcs, transition curves, splines, polygons, shapes (pipes) and terrain models.
- Only non-landing vertices can be deleted from a leader.
- To delete an object, select the object then press Delete or click

- For alignments with a design standard, you can delete intersection points only. The curves in the alignment will be recomputed. If a curve does not display, a curve could not be computed within the constraints. On the Alignment tab, in the Properties group, click
to examine the curves at the intersection points.
