Long Section Point Appearance

View or edit the appearance of a long sections point.

Requirements

A selected long section or point if viewing in the Attributes tool.

Point Appearance Properties

Expand the categories to edit the display properties for each point type:

Category Description
Key Points in the long section that indicate a change in grade. This includes grade points and the start and end points.
Curve Intersection Vertical intersection points for circular arcs and parabolic curves.
Sag / Crest Lowest or highest point on the vertical curve.
Isolated Points not associated with the linear component of the long section.
Control Description
Colour Select the control, then click Down arrow and pick the colour for each point type.
Plan Symbol Select the symbol for each point type.
Weight The weight of the point symbol's linework in mm.
Note:
  • In a long section view and long section viewport the line weight is drawn at the specified weight.
Rotation Type the rotation of the symbol. A zero rotation displays the symbol as it is displayed in the library.
Width Type the width and length of the symbol on the plan in mm or inches (depending on the project units). This is the x dimension if the Rotation is 0.
Length Type the length of the symbol on the plan in mm or inches (depending on the project units). This is the y dimension if the Rotation is 0.
Notes
  • In the Attributes tool, set 'By Layer' to use the appearance properties from the long sections layer.
