Requirements
  • A selected polygon or line
  • A geographic coordinate system
Columns

The following columns in the report relate to the polygons or lines vertices:

Column Description
Point Point name or unique id.
Easting The easting coordinate.
Northing The northing coordinate.
Height The orthometric height.
Latitude Geographic latitude.
Longitude Geographic longitude.
Convergence The grid convergence.

The following columns in the report relate to the line or the polygon edges:

Column Description
From Point From point name or unique id.
To Point To point name or unique id.
Azimuth Azimuth between the From Point and To Point.
Note:
Grid Bearing Grid Bearing between the From Point and To Point.
Note:
  • This column displays when the direction type is Grid.
Plane Bearing Plane bearing between the From Point and To Point.
Note:
Ellipsoidal Distance Ellipsoidal Distance between the From Point and To Point.
Note:
Grid Distance Grid Distance between the From Point and To Point.
Note:
Ground Distance Ground Distance between the From Point and To Point.
Note:
Mid Azimuth For Northern Territory - The mean of the forward azimuth at the mid point of the line and the reverse azimuth at the midpoint of the line.
For Western Australia - The mean of the forward azimuth at the start of the line and the reverse azimuth at the end of the line.

The following columns in the report relate to the computed spheroidal angles:

Column Description
At Point The point name or unique id where the spheroidal angle is computed.
From Point The point name or unique id where the spheroidal angle is measured from.
To Point The point name or unique id where the spheroidal angle is measured to.
Spheroidal Angle The spheroidal angle at 'At Point'. Computed from the forward azimuths to 'From Point' and 'To Point'.
Notes
  • Polygon and line vertices are listed in the order the object was created.
  • Distances and directions are displayed using the current project unit settings.
  • Spheroidal angles are reported for lines when the line consists of more than one segment.
  • The current distance and direction type determine the columns displayed.
