Closure Results
Property Description
Start Name The name of the start point or the unique id of the start vertex.
Easting The easting coordinate of the start or end point or the current easting coordinate of the To points or vertices.
Northing The northing coordinate of the start or end point or the current northing coordinate of the To points or vertices.
To The name of the to point or the unique id of the to vertex.
Bearing The input bearing to the To point from the previous point in the closure.
Distance The input distance to the To point from the previous point in the closure.
Note:
  • Arc distances are displayed as chord distances.
Arc Distance The arc distance of a circular curve.
Radius The radius of a circular curve.
Distance The input distance to the To point from the previous point in the closure.
Note:
  • Arc distances are displayed as chord distances.
Adjusted Easting The computed easting coordinate using the Adjustment Method
Adjusted Northing The computed northing coordinate using the adjustment method
Summary Statistics
Total Length Total length of the unadjusted measurements.
Misclosure Bearing The direction of the misclosure from the end of the line to the start of the line.
Misclosure Distance The linear misclosure.
Misclosure Ratio The proportional relationship between the linear misclosure and the total length of the measurements.
Adjusted Area The area of the closed figure.
Notes
  • Validate or process a closure or multiple closures to generate the report in a report tab in the work area.
  • The method used to adjust the measurements is displayed in the General section of the report.
  • Computations are performed on the grid.
  • The Adjusted Area is only displayed when the measurements close back on the start point.
  • Chord bearing and distance will be used for circular arcs line segments. The adjusted area will include the circular arc segment area.
  • To save the report, click the report tab to make it the active view, then click Save as.
  • Results are displayed in the project coordinate system.
  • An asterisk next to the closure name indicates the adjustment has been performed on measurement values that have not yet been saved.
  • When processing multiple closures the closures display in the report in the order they were processed.
  • Distances and areas are displayed using the current distance type.
  • Computations are performed on the grid. Coordinates are grid coordinates.
