General Options

Description

Set general options used by the application.

Controls
User Interface Description
Show Start Page Select the checkbox to display the Start Page tab when the application is launched.
Show Status Bar Select the checkbox to display the Status Bar.
Always Display Import/Export Report Select the checkbox to always display the import or export report.
Clear the checkbox to only display the import or export report when errors or warnings are detected.
Informative Mouse Pointers Select the checkbox to display a context driven mouse pointer that reflects the current mode of operation.
Clear the checkbox to display the precision select mouse pointer in the model view.
ScreenTip Style Control the level of detail displayed in ScreenTips.
Tentative Pick Select the method to use when you:
  • Tentatively select an item from the model or drawing view.
  • Tentatively pick an item from the model view to fill a value in a control.
Note:
  • If you select Right Mouse Button, then to display the context menu; press 'Alt + right-click' in the model view.
Label Size Type the size (in pixels) to display labels in the model view.
Folders Description
Default Folder Select the method used to determine the default folder displayed when opening or saving files:
  • Last Used - Defaults to the last used folder.
  • Last Used (File Type) - Defaults to the last used folder for the particular file type.
  • Project Folder - Defaults to the folder of the currently opened project or the Default Project setting for new projects.
Default Project Default folder for project files. This can be changed when saving the project.
Template Folder where user created template files are stored.
Image Folder to look for external georeferenced images if the stored path is not valid.
Image Service Folder where downloaded image service images are cached.
Licence Folder where the licence files are stored.
Insert a new item Browse to change a selected folder.
Notes
  • ScreenTips are displayed when the mouse pointer is held over a command in the Ribbon.
  • Changing a folder location does not automatically move existing files to the new location.
  • All General options are defined by the operator and are not project dependent.
  • Last used folders are remembered separately for opening (importing) and saving (exporting).
