Controls
Control Description
Name Type a name to identify the instrument.
Serial Number Type the instruments serial number.
Angle (Accuracy) Type the angle accuracy of the instrument as specified by the manufacturer.
EDM Constant (Accuracy) Type the constant accuracy component of the EDM as specified by the manufacturer.
EDM PPM (Accuracy) Type the PPM accuracy component of the EDM as specified by the manufacturer.
Horizontal Angle (Standard Deviation) Type the standard deviation for the horizontal angle measurements (seconds). Used to determine the a-priori error for horizontal angle measurements in an adjustment.
Vertical Angle (Standard Deviation) Type the standard deviation for the vertical angle measurements (seconds). Used to determine the a-priori error for vertical angle measurements in an adjustment.
EDM Constant (Standard Deviation) Type the standard deviation for the constant component of the EDM accuracy (millimetres). Used to determine the a-priori error for distance measurements in an adjustment.
Distance PPM (Standard Deviation) Type the standard deviation for the PPM component of the EDM accuracy (ppm). Used to determine the a-priori error for distance measurements in an adjustment.
Notes
  • Instrument standard deviations are used to compute the a-priori errors for observed measurements in a network adjustment.
  • EDM accuracy is used to weight the measurements during a least squares adjustment.
  • To view or edit total station details, select the instrument in the data grid and click Edit
  • When viewing instrument records created during the import process, accuracy values are read only to maintain data integrity.
  • Reference the instrument when manually entering measurements.
