| Name | Type a name to identify the instrument. |
| Serial Number | Type the instruments serial number. |
| Angle (Accuracy) | Type the angle accuracy of the instrument as specified by the manufacturer. |

| EDM PPM (Accuracy) | Type the PPM accuracy component of the EDM as specified by the manufacturer. |
| Horizontal Angle (Standard Deviation) | Type the standard deviation for the horizontal angle measurements (seconds). Used to determine the a-priori error for horizontal angle measurements in an adjustment. |

- Instrument standard deviations are used to compute the a-priori errors for observed measurements in a network adjustment.
- EDM accuracy is used to weight the measurements during a least squares adjustment.

- When viewing instrument records created during the import process, accuracy values are read only to maintain data integrity.
