Controls

The controls available depend on the table style type and the source of the data.

Control Description
Heading Type the column heading.
Source Select one of the following to filter the items displayed in the Data control:
  • Object Attribute - Display a list of attributes defined for the object type.
  • Property - Display a list of the objects properties.
  • Aspect - Display a list of items related to the Aspect colour band.
  • Grade - Display a list of items related to the Grade colour band.
  • Height - Display a list of items related to the Height colour band.
Data Select the data to display in the column.
Note:
  • The items in the list is determined by the Type of the table and the data Source.
Sort Select if the columns data will be used to define the order that the objects display in the table.
Note:
  • Not available for non-numerical or non-text base items.
Object Width Type the width of the graphical image within in the column.
Note:
  • Available for plan symbol, block, colour band or fill data.
  • The object width does not include padding.
Object Length Type the length of the graphical image in the column.
Note:
  • Available for plan symbol, block, colour band or fill data.
Line Length Type the length of the line within in the column.
Note:
  • Available for line styles.
  • The line style will be scaled to display at least two repeats of the line style.
Line Height Type the height of the line in the column.

  • Available for line styles.
Image Width Type the width of the image in the column.
Note:
  • Available for images.
Width Type the width of the column including the padding.
Note:
  • The width required for columns displaying plan symbols and blocks, is the width to display the largest symbol or block.
Format Click to configure the format for the data.
Notes
  • The data is validated with the tables Horizontal Padding and font Size when you click OK or click on another tab.
  • When the tables Unit is configured to:
    • Ground - Lengths are real world size. Type the length in the project units.
    • Plan - Lengths represent the distance on the plan in mm or inches depending on the project units. In a model view (or viewport) the distance is scaled using the Plan Unit Scale).
  • If multiple attribute with the same name exists for an object, the first attribute is displayed.
  • Only ungrouped attributes are included in the Data list of object attributes.
  • If the table is to be created in the up direction, sorting will be applied from the bottom of the table in an upwards direction.
  • If multiple columns are configured to sort the data in an ascending or descending order, the sort order of the left most column takes precedence.
  • For tables of type Colour Band, the table in the model reflects the colour band currently selected in the Display Options for the model, and the table in a CAD drawing reflects the colour band currently selected for the linked viewport.
  • Images are fitted to the Image Width whilst maintaining the aspect ratio. The cell height is adjusted to fit the image.
Possible Errors
Error Solution
The combination of column width, font size, graphical image size and horizontal padding is invalid. A cell must be able to fit at least one character. Increase the Width of the column.
