Vertex In the model view, select the alignments vertex where the new chainage equation will be applied.
Note:
  • The distance and back chainage are automatically filled using the alignment and the previous chainage equation.
Distance The two dimensional distance along the alignment from the start of the alignment.
Back Chainage The chainage of the selected vertex using the previous chainage equation.
Chainage Type the new chainage at the vertex.
Notes
  • Select an alignment in the model view prior to clicking the command to automatically select the Alignment.
  • The Start Vertex row must be retained.
  • Each vertex must have a chainage.
  • Only a single chainage can be applied to a vertex in an alignment.
  • The vertex column is not filled if you pick a vertex that is not used for the alignment.
Possible Errors
  • The vertex cell is highlighted and the distance and back chainage cells are not automatically populated if the vertex specified is invalid for the selected alignment.
  • The chainage cell is highlighted if a chainage has not been input for the vertex.
