  • D-Spec - Import the file using import behaviour suitable for A-Spec projects.
Lookup Tables Description
Layer Select the layer lookup table to use during the import.
Line Style Select the line style lookup table to use during the import.
Plan Symbol Select the plan symbol lookup table to use during the import.
Attribute Definition Select the attribute definition lookup table to be used during the import.

A blank selection for a lookup table indicates that no lookup will be performed.

Notes
  • Objects that can be imported from 12d Model Archive files include: Super strings, 2D strings, 3D strings, 4D strings, arc strings, circle strings, super alignments (horizontal), face strings, polyline strings, text strings, drainage strings, pipe strings, primitive-3d, tin, full tin and attributes.
  • When D-Spec Mode is selected the import behaviour changes to better cater for A-Spec projects in the following ways:
    • Pits are imported to a layer named Pits.
    • Diameter, length and width attributes are used to set Plan Symbol dimensions for a pit.
    • Plan Symbol direction for a pit is set according to the direction of the incoming pipe, or outgoing pipe for the first pit.
    • Pipe strings are imported as lines to a layer named Pipes.
    • The overall line of a drainage string is not imported, only the pipe segments.
  • To import polylines as breaklines, prior to import, edit the layer the line will be placed on and in the General tab, set Breakline to Yes.
  • Supported transition segments (Clothoid, NSW Cubic Parabola and Bloss) within a super string are imported.
  • When importing attributes, points are created for the vertices of a line if the imported vertices contain attributes.
  • Super strings, pipe strings and drainage strings with a diameter greater than 0 are imported as pipe shapes providing the geometry is valid.
  • Lines within a super string are imported as a single line which has the same colour for each segment.
