Description

Export model data objects in Portable Document Format (PDF) format.

Options

The following properties allow control of the export.

General Description
Content If there are objects selected then only selected objects are exported.
Displayed - If no objects are selected then only visible objects are exported.
All - If no objects are selected then all objects are exported regardless of whether they are visible.
Curve Tolerance Enter the maximum offset distance from a curve to the chord between adjacent vertices. Use this value to control the fidelity of curve objects being exported.
3D Select if a 3D PDF is to be exported.
Page Orientation Portrait - Paper will be in portrait orientation.
Landscape - Paper will be in landscape orientation.
Automatic - Paper orientation will be set according to the aspect of the data being exported.
Page Size The standard page size of the resulting document.
Open Exported File Select whether the file being created should be automatically opened when the export is complete.
Notes
  • Objects are exported on their layers and the drawing order is maintained.
  • Use this export option in preference to the print to pdf option when you want to add comments, signatures or view a model in 3d.
  • When you export a background image ensure the layers image is drawn before the objects layers.
  • Point cloud data is not included in the export to PDF.
  • Colour banding and transparency is not included in the export to PDF.
