Insert an image into the model view

Access

Select Home / Tools / Create / Image

Requirements

An image that has been added to the project. See Manage Images

Controls

Control	Description
Image	Click to select an image.
Rotation	Input a rotation.
Alignment	Select the position of the insertion point on the image. Note: The insertion point is computed prior to rotation.
Units	Select the Units used to define the width and length of the image: Ground - Select to input the image length and width as measured in real world distances. (Project units) Plan - Select to input the image length and width as measured on the plan. (mm or inches)
Width	Input the planimetric width of the image in ground or plan units.
Length	Input the planimetric length of the image in ground or plan units.

Notes

To insert the image, ensure you are in insertion mode and the model is displayed in Plan view, then click in the model view at the location where the image is to be placed.
To return to insertion mode:
- Click in the Image box.
- Press the Tab key or Shift+Tab key to remove focus from a control in edit mode.
If you select 'Plan' in the Units list:
- Type the length and width in mm when the project units are metric, and inches when the project units are imperial.
- The Models plan unit scale will be used to display the image in the model view.
- The viewports plan unit scale will be used to display the image in the viewport.
