| Control | Description |

| Name (Plane) | Type a name for the generated plane or click  to increment to the next available name. See Naming Options below. |
| Add | Click to add the points selected in the model view to the list. |
| Remove | Click to remove the points that are selected in the list. |
| Offset (Plane) | Type a perpendicular distance to offset the generated plane. |
| Extend By | Type a distance to extend the plane from the generated boundary. |
| Solve | Click to preview the generated plane in the model view and display the Offset value in the list. |

| Name (Point) | The name or unique Id of the points in the list. |

Do one of the following:
|
| Fixed | Select the checkbox to give a point a higher weight than unfixed points when generating a best fit plane. |
| Offset | The computed perpendicular distance from the generated plane to each point included in the calculation. |
- Include at least 3 points to solve the best fit calculation.
- The plane is created as a shape (face set).
- Use the computed Offset value to identify outliers.
