Name |
Enter a name for the polygon. |
|
Notes |
- To create the polygon, click inside the area bounded by the lines.
- The line segment closest to the mouse pointer in an easterly or westerly direction, is chosen as the first polygon segment.
- If more than one polygon could be formed (using the first segment chosen), the smallest polygon is created.
- The polygon is created from visible lines only.
- For overlapping lines, turn off layers to ensure the correct line segment is chosen as the first polygon segment.
- The 2d or 3d setting for a circular arc segment is preserved when a polygon is created.

Error |
Description |
Unable to create polygon. |
A polygon could not be formed using the line segment chosen as the first polygon segment. To force a different line segment to be chosen:
- Alter the position of the mouse pointer.
- Turn off layers that contain lines that you do not want to be used to form the polygon.
For more complex situations, create the polygon manually from existing vertices or lines.
