Join Start

Description

Start a new join sequence without joining to the previous point with the same code.

Required

At least one point with the same feature code following the start point.

Example

Control Code Definition
A control code action Join Start is assigned a value 'ST'.

Measured Points
The first point (pt 3) is assigned the code 'BCK ST' where 'BCK' is the feature code for back of kerb.
The following two points (pts 4 and 5) are assigned the code 'BCK'.
Point 6 is assigned the code 'BCK'.
Point 7 is assigned the code 'PIT' and is not part of a line sequence.
Point 8 is assigned the code 'BCK ST' and is the start of a new line sequence. The previous line sequence is ended.
The final points (pt 9 and 10) are assigned the code 'BCK'. The line ends at point 10 as there are not any more points with the code 'BCK'.

  • A Join Start control code does not need to be paired with a Join End control code.
