These parameters can be entered into the New Projection / Edit Projection dialog box once the Transverse Mercator projection type has been selected.
| Linear Units | Select which linear units the projection parameters are to be displayed in. |
| Angular Units | Select which angular units the projection parameters are to be displayed in. |
| Hemisphere | Select the hemisphere. |
| Axis Orientation | Select the orientation of the axis. If North is selected, coordinates are positive to the East and North. If South is selected, coordinates will be positive to the West and South. |
| Central Scale Factor | Set the scale factor at the central meridian. |
| Central Meridian | Set the central meridian longitude. This field is in sexagesimal degrees (DDD.MMSS) and must lie between -180.0 (West of Greenwich) and +180.0 (East of Greenwich) |
| Zone Width | Set the zone width. |
| Latitude of Grid Origin | |
| (False Latitude) | Set the False Latitude. This field must lie between -90.0 (South) and +90.0 (North) |
| Easting of Central Meridian | |
| (False Easting) | Set the east co-ordinate of the Central Meridian. |
| Northing at Equator | |
| (False Northing) | Set the north co-ordinate at the Equator. |
| Minimum Latitude | Set the minimum allowable latitude. This field is used to validate latitude entries. |
| Maximum Latitude | Set the maximum allowable latitude. This field used to validate latitude entries. |
