Configure AnglesConfigure Angles

Configures the precision and rounding for angle display and output.

The Configure/Angles command is selected from the Utilities task.

You may use the Angle Configuration dialog box to make the appropriate selections. Angles will be displayed on the screen and in any output according to the selections made in the Angles Configuration dialog box.

You may change the Angles Configuration at any time. This enables you to view any data base with different Angle Configurations or to switch between Angle Configurations.

Use the appropriate buttons, combo boxes and data fields to select your required options for the following:

Angle Precision- Precision of Angles.

Angle Rounding 1- Rounding type 1 for Angles
Angle Rounding 2- Rounding type 2 for Angles
Angle Rounding 3- Rounding type 3 for Angles

Note that the options available in the combo boxes will depend on the Angle Unit type (Sexagesimal degrees, Decimal degrees, Gons) selected via the Configure/Units command.

If the Angle Unit type is Sexagesimal (i.e. DDD.MMSS), then you may use the appropriate check box to also select the required option for Leading Zeroes. Leading Zeroes are displayed if the check box is active. For example if the check box is inactive then 25° 05' 05" would display as 25° 5' 5".

Refer to the Angle Rounding help topic for an example showing the effect of setting these options.

Refer to the Angle Rounding dialog box topic and the Angle Rounding topic for further assistance.

Selecting the System button will save the current settings as the system defaults. The system defaults are the settings initially used when a new data base is created.

Click the OK button to change the Angles Configuration to that selected for the currently open project or click the Cancel button if you do not wish to change the Angles Configuration.
