Transformation File

(This functionality is available with the Transformations module)

A Transformation file is a binary file which is used to store point co-ordinates on two different co-ordinate systems. It may be used to compute transformation parameters between the two systems.

Essentially, you will use transformation files to enable transformation parameters to be re computed and used at different times or on different data bases. Transformation files always have a .TRF extension.

Creating Transformation Files

You may create a transformation file and add data to it using the Transformation File Editor. This editor is run by selecting the Transformations/Transformation/Define command.
