The Template Editor Code column enables a code to be assigned to the point created in the template cross section. The Code column is a drop down list which displays the codes in the current code table. Just click on the Code field to activate the drop down list
New codes can be entered into the code field, but they must be upper case, be no more than eight characters and cannot contain spaces.
The code can be used in conjunction with the stringing characters to form a code / string combination that will be used to join string lines between cross sections, when the cross sections are transferred into plan.
If the code is used without stringing characters then the code will be assigned to the point in the resultant cross section, but will not be connected to the neighbouring cross section.
