Leica Viva TS15 Communications

(This topic is for use with the Survey Live module)

This topic assists in setting up the required communications between this sensor and Survey Live.

If you set Survey Live to use the overview camera on the TSI5

Using Survey Live at the prism pole (radio communications)

Turn on the TS15.
Press Next until the Job page displays.
Select Instrument
Select Connect to Instr.
Select All other connections
On the Connections Settings page select GeoCom and then Edit
Select Connect using Radio Handle and then Device
On the Radios page, select RH15 and then Edit
Select Default (to set Baud Rate 115200, Parity None, Data Bits 8 and Stop Bits 1), then select Store
Select OK until back at Connections Settings page.
On the Connections Settings page select GeoCom and then Cntrl.
Set the radio as Base and set the Link Number to match the setting on the paired radio (which is set up in step 2a of the topic Communications between Sensor and Survey Live).
Select OK until back at Job page.

Using Survey Live at the Sensor (Bluetooth communications)

Turn on the TS15.
Press Next until the Job page displays.
Select Instrument
Select Connect to Instr.
Select All other connections
On the Connections Settings page select GeoCom and then Edit
Ensure that the “Allow GeoCom communication with this instrument” is enabled.
Select Connect using a Bluetooth port. A default Bluetooth device is suitable (e.g. TS Bluetooth 1). Do not edit the device.
Select OK until back at Job page.
