(This topic is for use with the Survey Live module)
This topic assists in setting up the required communications between this sensor and Survey Live.
It is recommended that if you are ordering a new GS15, you order it:
- without a Viva controller. (Viva controller or
simulator is needed only for initial configuration)
- with the Leica slot in radio or GSM/GPRS/UMTS device included in the GS15.
- pre configured as per following.
This topic is selected from the Communications between Sensor and Survey Live topic.

Configure RTK on the Leica GS15 using a Viva Controller

Use the RTK Rover wizard to complete the configuration.
Note: Survey Live may then be used to change the RTK settings.
If you do not have a Viva controller and need to change key configuration settings at a later date, you may do so using the Survey Live Configure activity pages.
If after changing configuration settings, no reference data is being received (i.e. navigated solution only), you can use the button pictured on the CS15 to tell the rover to connect to the reference station and start receiving corrections.
Press
and hold the button for 5 seconds. If the GS15 is in rover
mode and configured for dial-up or Ntrip connection, the RTK rover led
flashes green for 2 seconds, and the GS15 will connect to the RTK base
station or Ntrip server configured. Note it is important to hold the button
for 5 seconds as other durations have different functions.
