This topic assists in setting up the required communications between this ruggedised tablet PC and Survey Live.

Using Survey Live at the prism pole (radio communications)
- Configure the Leica CS25 and its PDS radio device
- Turn on the CS25.
- Once fully booted press the Menu button four (4) times until the Wireless communication menu is shown.
- Ensure that IP Wireless is ON and that 3G is OFF.
- Open the Windows Device Manager. (Tip: Click Windows Start and type in "devmgmt.msc" then press Enter.)
- Under the heading Ports (COM & LPT) find the entry USB Serial Port and make a note of the COM number in brackets at the end of the name (e.g. COM15).
- You now have enough information to configure Survey Live. The following steps are only needed in order to change the default configuration of the PDS radio.
- Run the TS15 Remote Interface software.
- Select the COM port that matches the one from Device Manager and press Open.
- Press Set TS15 Config to configure the radio to match the TS15 Radio Handle default settings. (Baud Rate 115200, Parity None, Data Bits 8, Stop Bits 1)
- Select the Link to match the TS15 Radio Handle Link Number (as determined in Step 1- Configure the sensor), and set the radio as Remote.
- Press Set to save the configuration and then press Exit to close the software.
- Note: If any problems using or making the required settings in the TS15 Remote Interface software, try setting the Baud rate to 9600 and then repeat the process from the start.
Using Survey Live at the Sensor (Bluetooth communications)
- Configure the Leica CS25 for Bluetooth .
- Turn on the CS25.
- Once fully booted press the Menu button four (4) times until the Wireless communication menu is shown.
- Ensure that Bluetooth is ON.
- Follow the instructions in section 2. (b) of the topic Communications between Sensor and Survey Live.
