Create Floating Point by Point Distance dialog box
Item | Used to |
Long Section: | Select the long section from the list to which the floating point is to be added. Alternatively snap to and accept the long section required. |
Distance or Chainage: | Enter the distance or chainage (depending upon the alignment configuration) that the point distance is to be applied to. Alternatively snap to and accept a point along the long section. |
Point Distance: | Enter the point distance to be applied to the Distance or Chainage previously entered. Alternatively
snap to and accept two points to obtain the distance between them. The point distance is useful when trying to create a floating point relative to another point in the long section. If you want to place a floating point at a precise location, enter the value in the Distance / Chainage field and leave the Point Distance as 0.0. |
OK: | Creates the floating point at the distance or chainage entered plus the point distance provided that the resulting distance lies on the long section. |
Cancel: | Closes the dialog box without creating a floating point. |
