Line Layout (Cross Section CAD Output)

(This functionality is available with the Profiles and Design module)

Controls the CAD output of:

  1. The vertical drop lines from the points on the surface of the cross sections.
  2. The drop lines connecting the cross section to the table.
  3. The lines in the table.

Setting configurations in this dialog will be saved in the currently open cross section CAD output layout file.

Please note that all measurements in this dialog are in plan units.

The Line Layout option can be chosen from the CAD Output dialog. This dialog is displayed after selecting the CAD Output command from the Profiles task in a cross section view.

Item Used to
Surface Drop Lines: Toggle the option to output lines that are drawn from the surface points of the long sections as nominated in the Locations group box of the Cross Sections Parameters dialog down to the base line of the grid.
Changes made to this option will automatically be reflected in the display window.
Settings...: Open the Line Settings dialog.
Connecting Drop Lines
This group controls the size and position of the drop lines that are drawn between the base line of the grid and the top of the table. These values are measured relative to the base line of the grid.
Select the Preview button to apply the positional changes made to the display area on the dialog.
Upper Drop Line Point: Set the position of the uppermost point of the connecting drop line.
Upper Deflection Point: Set the position of the upper deflection point of the connecting drop line.
Lower Deflection Point: Set the position of the lower deflection point of the connecting drop line.
Lower Drop Line Point: Set the position of the lowest point of the connecting drop line.
Top of Table: Set the position of the top of the table.
Settings...: Open the Line Settings dialog.
Geometry Lines
This group controls the position of the geometry lines (such as grade) that are drawn between the base line of the grid and the top of the table. These values are measured relative to the base line of the grid.
Select the Preview button to apply the positional changes made to the display area on the dialog.
Top Line: Set the position of the top geometry line.
Separation: Set the separation distance between geometry lines.
Settings: Opens the Geometry Settings dialog.
Table Lines
This group controls the output of horizontal and vertical table lines to a CAD system.
Select the Preview button to apply the positional changes made to the display area on the dialog.
Horizontal: Toggle the option to output horizontal table lines to a CAD system.
Settings: Open the Line Settings dialog.
Vertical: Toggle the option to output vertical table lines to a CAD system.
Settings: Open the Line Settings dialog.
Preview: Apply any changes made to the display area on the dialog.
Note: This applies only to the Connecting Drop Lines, Horizontal Geometry Lines and Table lines groups.
OK: Close the dialog and save the current settings.
Cancel: Close the dialog without applying the changes.
