There is a Trimble stylesheet called "LISCAD field file export" which is the preferred and recommended interface for transferring field data from Trimble Survey Controller/Trimble Access to LISCAD.
The stylesheet can be copied directly into the Trimble data directory on your controller running V11.2 Survey Controller or later, or the System files folder if you are using Trimble Access and the export selected from "File > Import/export > Export Custom Format files...".
Please contact support@listech.com for information on obtaining this style sheet.
Features of this Trimble export format include:
• Export a LISCAD .fld file directly from the controller ready for reduction in LISCAD
• Handles Total Station, GNSS and Integrated surveys
• Handles all of the Survey Controller/Access offsetting methods
• PPM, prism constants and SF are sent through to LISCAD
• Adds the null string identifier onto points automatically– i.e. a 406 or LIP becomes 40600 or LIP00 automatically.
This is user definable and is customisable depending on Alpha/numeric and your style of stringing suffix (none, “0”, “00”)
• Converts Trimble feature code “attributes” correctly into the required .fld format – i.e. picking or typing in 3.0m for a tree spread and .1
for a trunk diameter come across into LISCAD with these dimensions and the correct symbol type and size etc... (this can be customised for
other codes requiring attributes)
• LISCAD point descriptions can be added from Survey Controller via extra point descriptions 1 and 2 fields in the job file
• Control codes documented in Field File Structure can be used.
For example, after a point is measured you can key in a note e.g. “251” to arc the last 3 points.
All operation (control) codes 200-424 are supported excluding only 330-334 for levels. The user can completely specify all variable fields
used on operation commands OR the style sheet will make assumptions and use the last 1,2,3 etc... measured points/codes.
• You can template through an arc and run numerous splines on templates simultaneously
• Job information lines from Page 2 of the Survey Controller/Access job properties are brought through into the LISCAD SEE job properties directly
i.e. instrument types, s/n’s operators, job reference etc...
• QC Details can be exported in the Field file. The option adds a check shot report for any check-shots done during the survey
and HA VA collimation report showing these values along with Autolock collimation for S-Series and point QC info such as Pdop, Satellites, H & V precisions etc... for GPS/GNSS.
