The communications settings of the GTS-6 cannot be changed by the user. Prior to transferring data to or from this instrument, ensure that its default settings have been set using the Data Recorder Communications Settings dialog box.
NOTE: When uploading data to the GTS-6, you must specify whether the data being transferred is two or three dimensional. Specify three dimensional (i.e. setting is 2) if the "transfer elevations" check box is active in the Data Recorder Output dialog box. If the Transfer elevations check box is not active, then the setting is 1.
The cable connecting the serial port of the computer to the GTS-6 RS232 port must conform to the following:
