The default communications settings are designed to work effectively if the SCR1 Card Reader is set up as follows.

To set these parameters, set the dip switches on the rear of the card reader as follows.

Prior to transferring data to or from this instrument, ensure that its default settings have been set Data Recorder Communications Settings dialog box.
Transferring data from the SCR1 Card Reader
Carry out the appropriate steps in the procedure for Processing a Field Survey up to the step for initiating the transfer of the data.
Transferring co-ordinate data to the SCR1 Card Reader
- Use the Output/Data Recorder command to put the system in a ready state to send co-ordinates to the SCR1 Card Reader. A dialog box should be displayed asking if the card reader is ready to receive data.
- Select the OK button in the dialog box to commence the data transfer.
