RotateRotate by Directions

Availability: Computations module.
Menu Selection: From the Computations task, select the Edit/Rotate command
Functionality: objects
Controls:
Actions:
  • When the Copy Checkbox is checked, the following Prefix and Suffix edit fields become available. Rather than rotating the selected data, with the Copy checked, a copy of that data is rotated and the original data retained. You need to add either a prefix or suffix (or both) to the current point identifiers to ensure the copied points have new point identifiers.
  • The OK Button performs the rotation.
Notes:
  • Any line objects or polygons that are associated with the selected point(s) will be automatically amended to reflect the rotation of those points.
  • If the points defined to be rotated are part of a spiral, arc or circle object, the object will be re created if the geometry of the points that defined the object is still valid, otherwise the object will be destroyed. For example, you cannot move an arc end point and keep the arc, unless the move maintains the radius.
  • Symbols will have their direction changed according to the rotation if they are dimensioned in ground units.
  • Text objects will be rotated only if they are selected by a block. The direction of rotated text will be changed according to the rotation if the text is dimensioned in ground units.
  • In single object mode, the point(s) shown in the point range field will be rotated. In block mode, only the points shown in the point range field and also defined by the block will be rotated. If the point range field is empty, then all points defined by the block will be rotated.
