A Line Style Lookup Table is used to match up AutoCAD Line Styles and MicroStation Line Styles to CAD Line Styles via a lookup table. If a lookup table is not defined the Line Styles will be written out as.
From the AutoCAD or DGN Conversion Settings dialog box select a line style lookup table (.LLU file) from the Line Style Lookup Table list and press Edit. The .LLU file will be opened in the currently configured text editor.
All lookup tables are created and held in the system's folder.
The lookup table is then set up in the following format.
AutoCAD
CADLSTYLEID1 = ACADLSTYLEname1
CADSTYLEID2 = ACADLSTYLEname2
MicroStation DGN
CADLSTYLEID1 = MICROSTYLEname1
CADLSTYLEID2 = MICROSTYLEname2
When exporting an AutoCAD file if a line style lookup table is set, it is used to convert LISCAD line style names to an AutoCAD line styles. This is helpful when you need to match a LISCAD line style to an AutoCAD line style defined in the prototype drawing you are using.
When importing an AutoCAD file all line styles in the AutoCAD file are matched with a corresponding LISCAD line style. A line style lookup table is useful to reference AutoCAD line styles to LISCAD line styles. If a match is not found, a default LISCAD line style is used.
Tip:
- To create a new lookup table, open an existing one and Save As a new name.
