Explode:
- A single object - Input a line, alignment, joined polygon, leader or block to explode. Picking an object from the model view will explode the object automatically.
- A selection of objects - Click OK to explode lines, alignments, joined polygons and blocks in the current selection.
- Exploded lines, alignments, polygons, leaders or blocks are selected in the model view.
- If a leader is exploded, it is first unlinked from text. Explode again to explode the leader into lines and polygons.
- When a leader is exploded, solid arrow symbols are converted to polygons, otherwise the arrow is converted to a line.
- Exploded objects retain the appearance of the original object.
- Exploding an alignment converts the alignment into a line. Linked chainage text and intersection points are deleted. Explode again to convert the line into individual line segments.
- Disconnected lines are exploded into line objects. Explode again to convert the lines into individual line segments.
- Exploded lines, alignments and polygons retain the properties of the original line.
- Splines in line objects will not be exploded.
- Block objects currently not displayed due to a the layers visibility will be exploded.
- Only uniformly scaled blocks can be exploded.
- Blocks that contain text, point styles or images rotated around the x or y axis cannot be exploded.
- Nested blocks are exploded one block at a time.
- If attributes are copied and the block objects are placed on the layers defined in the block definition, new attribute definitions are created when required.
- If the Explode to layer of block checkbox is cleared, exploded objects will be placed on the layers defined in the block definition even when the layers are locked.
