Find Objects by Attribute

Description

Find objects by the value inserted for one of the objects attributes.

Controls

The following controls may appear in the Find page when objects are found by attribute.

Control	Description
Type	Select the attribute type as defined for the layer.
Attribute	Select the name of the Attribute. Attributes are included in the list if they are: of the same attribute Type. defined in the Active Layer.
Value	Input the attribute value to search for. Note: For image attributes, click and select from the available images.
From/To	Type the range of attribute values to search. Note: For dates, select the date from the calender then select the hour or minute component of the time and click the arrows to set the time. To search for an absolute value type the value in the From and To control.
Use Wildcards	Select the checkbox to include wild cards in the search. Note: * - Use an asterisks to imply many characters. ? - Use a questions mark to imply a single character.

Notes

View the attribute definitions for the active layer to determine the attribute type.
All visible layers are searched.
The found objects are selected in the model view.
If a single object is selected its attributes and properties are displayed in the Attribute tool window.
If multiple objects are selected the attributes and properties of the first point selected are displayed in the Attribute window.
The keyed in value is sanitised for leading and trailing spaces.
