Save as a Template

Save a project file as a template.

/ Save As Template

• Specify the template folder in the General Options page.
• Save a project as a template to reuse the current projects configuration in a new project.
• Select the Close and compact checkbox in the Save As dialog, to close, validate and compact the project prior to saving it as a template.
• Select the Clear Source List checkbox in the Save As dialog, to remove the source files from source lists and the source from any object in the saved template.
• If validation issues are detected during the compact the project is re-opened and the validation view is displayed in the work area.
• You can save any data or project settings in a template including:
  • Layers
  • Coordinate Systems
  • Units
  • Display Settings
  • Attribute Definitions
  • Import and Export Options
  • Coordinate Systems
  • Lookup Tables
  • Table Styles
  • Text Styles
  • Block Definitions
  • CAD Drawing Templates
  • Colour Settings
  • Views
  • Control Codes
  • Plan Symbols
  • Line Styles
  • Objects
• Any project files saved or copied to the template folder will be available in the template lists.
