Format Coordinates

Description

Edit the format for the easting and northing coordinates and the height.

Control Description
Unit Select the linear unit.
Format Specify the parameters to insert in the text object using the following notation:
  • Type ❴0❵ to insert the easting, northing or height. (Required)
  • Type ❴1❵ to insert the units. (Optional)
Note:
  • Text parameters are inserted in the order specified.
  • Units displayed in the text object are the units defined for the text style. These units can be different to the project units.
  • You can insert additional text to be displayed with the linked text objects.
Reversed Reverse the sign of the value.
Display signed values Do one of the following:
  • Select the checkbox to include the positive sign with the created text when appropriate.
  • Clear the checkbox to include negative signs only.
Notes
  • Use the coordinate format to:
    • Create linked text objects that display the easting, northing or height of points or vertices.
    • Display heights or height differences in a long section view
  • When displaying the height datum heading in a long section view, type {0} and {1] in the Heading control in the Row Style dialog.
  • Reversed can be used in hydrographic projects to display depths as positive values.
