The merged model:
- Retains the triangle faces from the From Terrain Model and any triangle faces from the To Terrain Model that are unaffected by the update.
- Contains new triangle faces that are formed where the two models intersect. The intersecting edges retain the height from the From Terrain Model.
- Is a new terrain model and does not share topology with either the From Terrain Model or the To Terrain Model.
- The triangles from the From Terrain Model that are fully overlapped are discarded.
- To display height colour banding, set the terrain model Colour setting in display options to Height (Banded) and display terrain model faces.
