Description |
| Name |
Type a name for the first point, or click to increment to the next available name. |
| Linear Object |
Object - Input the line or alignment to create points along or select multiple linear objects in the model view.
Reference Line: Input the reference line.
Note:
- If a linear object is currently selected this control is not available.
|
| Segments |
Type the number of segments required. |
| Insert points into object |
Select the checkbox to insert the created points into the linear object. |
|
| Notes |
- Type a value in the Segments control prior to picking the Linear Object to automatically create the points when the Linear Object is picked.
- The heights of the created vertices will be interpolated based on the position along the linear object.
- A line or alignment can contain a straight, spline, circular arc or transition curve.
- Points are not created at the start and end of the line.
- You can insert created points into straight or circular arc segments.
- All segments or distances between points are of equal 3 dimensional length unless
- 3D circular arc setting is cleared when creating a circular arc line segment.
- the object is a transition curve.
In these cases the segments or distances between points are of equal 2 dimensional length.
