Controls

The following controls are available:

Control	Description
Style	Select the chainage text style to use for the text.
Object	Input a line, alignment or pipe.
Vertex	Input a vertex to create chainage text for a selected vertex. Note: Enabled when the Select vertex checkbox is selected.
Select vertex	Select the check box to select vertices that are not part of the alignment. A chainage at the location where the vertex is projected onto the Object is created.
Project start/end segments	Select the check box to project the object in order to compute chainages for selected vertices. Applicable only when Select vertex is selected.
Include section markers	Select the check box to create chainage text at section markers in addition to key vertices when creating text for an alignment.

Notes

Use this method to create chainage text at key vertices along an alignment.
Lines and shapes(pipes) must be continuous for chainage text to be created.
Chainage text objects are dynamically updated if the object or section markers are edited.
The object may be projected beyond its start and end vertex.
Chainage equations are considered when creating chainage text for an alignment.
