Description

Draw a table in a Cad drawing using a table style.

Controls
Control Description
Style Select a suitable table style for the selected objects.
Viewport Select a viewport to link to the table.
Note:
  • A viewport is required when you create a table for a colour band.
  • A viewport is optional for tables other than colour band tables.
  • When a viewport is selected the table will reflect colours, linestyles, weights, point symbol and fill display settings for the viewports layers.
Exclude duplicates Select the checkbox to prevent duplication of rows.
Exclude lines with linked bearings and distances Select the checkbox to exclude lines that are linked to both bearing and distance text at the time the table is created.
Exclude lines longer than Select the checkbox and type a distance in the box, to exclude lines that are longer than the specified distance at the time the table is created.
Insert Click then click in the drawing view at the location where the table is to be placed.
Notes
  • Select objects in the model view to create point, line, polygon, colour banding or block tables.
  • A table is dynamically updated when the objects in the table are edited or deleted.
  • Editing the tables table style will update the appearance of the table providing Update Appearance is selected in the Attributes tool window.
  • Editing the viewports layer display settings will automatically update the table to reflect what is displayed in the viewport.
  • Editing the tables attributes in the Attributes tool window will automatically disconnect the table from the style. Click Update Appearance in the Attributes tool window to revert back to the table style settings.
  • Recreate the table to add new items.
  • When creating a colour range table, if the colour band is set to 'Automatic', the Colour ranges displayed are determined from the objects and layers displayed in the viewport at the time of creation.
