Allows the current project to be changed to a different coordinate system and have its coordinates optionally transformed.

| Control | Description |

| Current Coordinate System | Name of the current coordinate system. |
| New Coordinate System | Select the new coordinate system from the list. |
| Projection | Name of the new projection. |
| Ellipsoid | Name of the new ellipsoid. |
| Transformation | Select the transformation to be applied (optional). |
- Coordinates will be modified if a transformation is selected, or if the current coordinate system and new coordinate system share the same ellipsoid and datum.
- The resulting coordinates must be within the extents of the new coordinate system to complete the operation.
- Only applicable transformations are displayed in the Transformation list.
- To insert a new transformation, see Add or Edit a Transformation .
- The coordinate system cannot be changed while reference files are in use.

| The coordinates will be re-projected as 'New Coordinate System Name'. No transformation will be applied. Continue? | If you choose to continue, coordinate values will not be transformed but will be reprojected using the new coordinate system. |
| The coordinates will be transformed to 'New Coordinate System Name'. Continue? | If you choose to continue, the selected transformation will be applied and projected coordinates will be in the new coordinate system. |
| The existing coordinates will be re-interpreted as 'New Coordinate System Name'. No transformation will be applied. Continue? | If you choose to continue, coordinate values will not change. They will be assumed to be in the new coordinate system. You should make sure that the existing coordinate values are within the extents of the new coordinate system. |
