Column Description
Point Name Name of the points.
Point Id Unique Id of the points.
Easting Easting of the point.
Northing Northing of the point.
Height Height of the points.
Horizontal Distance Horizontal distance to the triangular face.
Vertical Distance Vertical distance to the triangular face.
3D Offset A 3 dimensional distance measured perpendicular to the triangular face.
3D Distance The minimum distance from the point to the terrain model.
Terrain Model Height Height on the terrain model from where the perpendicular 3D offset to the point is computed.
Note:
  • Use in conjunction with the 3D Offset.
Notes
  • Only selected points will be compared to the terrain model and reported on.
  • A negative height difference indicates the selected point is below the terrain model.
  • Clear the Use Comparison Project checkbox to compare selected points with unselected terrain models within the search criteria in the current project.
  • Select the Use Comparison Project checkbox to compare the selected points with all terrain models within the search criteria in the comparison project.
  • The shortest Horizontal Distance, Vertical Distance and Offset to the terrain model is reported.
  • Selected columns will be shown in the defined order.
  • A horizontal distance is only computed if the points height is within the height extents of the terrain model.
  • In the report, differences not within the Tolerances display red.
  • Press Shift + Ctrl then click Move the selected item up to move the column to the top of the list.
  • Press Shift + Ctrl then click Move the selected item down to move the column to the bottom of the list.
