The following can be used to control and customise the report:

Control Description
Title Type the title to display in the report.
Default Click the button to display the default title for the report.
Match vertical Select the checkbox to:
  • Specify a Vertical distance in the search criteria.
  • Specify a vertical tolerance.
Search distances: Horizontal Type the horizontal distance to search for shapes.
Search distances: Vertical Type the vertical distance to search for shapes.
Tolerances: Select the checkbox to enable the tolerance boxes. In the report, differences not within the Tolerances display red.
Distance Type
  • Horizontal : Type the horizontal distance tolerance.
  • 3D Distance : Type the three dimensional distance tolerance.
Vertical Type the vertical tolerance.
Note:
  • Available when you select the Match vertical checkbox and configure the distance type to Horizontal.
Use comparison project Select the checkbox if the shapes to compare are in a different project.
Edit the selected item Browse to the project that contains the shapes to compare.
Move the selected item up Move the selected item up in the list.
Move the selected item down Move the selected item down in the list.
OK Show the comparison report.
Cancel Cancel without running the command.

Select the checkbox to include the columns in the report.

Column Description
Point Name Name of the points.
Point Id Unique Id of the points.
Point Layer Layer of the points.
Point Easting Easting of the points.
Point Northing Northing of the points.
Point Height Height of the points.
Shape Name Name of the Shape.
Shape Id Unique Id of the shape.
Shape Layer The shapes layer.
Shape Easting Easting of the location on the shape where the perpendicular offset to the point is computed.
Note:
  • Use in conjunction with the 3D Offset.
Shape Northing Northing of the location on the shape where the perpendicular offset or 3d distance to the point is computed.
Note:
  • Use in conjunction with the 3D Offset.
Shape Height Height of the location on the shape where the perpendicular offset to the point is computed.
Note:
  • Use in conjunction with the 3D Offset.
Horizontal Distance Horizontal distance from the nearest surface on the shape.
Vertical Distance Vertical distance from the nearest surface on the shape.
3D Offset Perpendicular offset from the shape to the point.
3D Distance The minimum 3D distance from the shape to the point.
Notes
  • Values are from the shape to the selected point.
  • A negative vertical distance indicates the selected point is below the nearest surface.
  • Clear the Use Comparison Project checkbox to compare selected points with unselected shapes within the search criteria in the current project.
  • Select the Use Comparison Project checkbox to compare the selected points with all shapes within the search criteria in the comparison project.
  • Differences not within the specified tolerance are displayed in the report in red.
  • Only selected points will attempt to have comparison shapes located and reported on.
  • Only shapes that are displayed will be considered for comparison with the selected points.
  • The shortest Horizontal Distance, Vertical Distance, 3D Offset and 3D Distance to the shape is reported.
  • The 3D distance tolerance is used for both 3d offsets and 3d distances.
  • Selected columns will be shown in the defined order.
  • Press Shift + Ctrl then click Move the selected item up to move the column to the top of the list.
  • Press Shift + Ctrl then click Move the selected item down to move the column to the bottom of the list.
  • The average vertical difference in the reports statistics is the arithmetic mean of the signed values not the absolute values.
