Edit the properties related to a reference file.

A reference file selected in Manage Reference Files.
| Control | Description |

| Name | Edit the name. |
| Description | Edit the description. |
| Full Path | Displays the location of the file. |
| Path Type |
Absolute - Absolute path to where the file is located. Relative - Path relative to the project's folder. |
| Path |
Displays the absolute or relative path to the file, depending upon the Path Type setting. Click  to change the path to the file.

| Colour |
Edit the colour to display objects from the file. Select By Reference to display objects in the same colour as they appear in the file. |
| Brightness |
Enter a value between -100 and 100. A value of 0 to keep the same brightness as in the file. Objects appear brighter as the value approaches 100 and dimmer as it approaches -100. |
- If a project is currently being edited it can not be selected as a reference file.
| Error | Solution |
|---|---|
| The file 'file name' is locked by another application. | Close the file or ask the other person who has it opened to close it. |
