The Scans tab controls how point cloud scans are to be displayed in the 3D View.

| Item | Used to |
| Display Scans | Select the scans to be displayed. Any combination of scans may be selected using typical windows controls. |
| Colour Scans By | Select whether to display scan colours by the
colour of the "scan point" or the colour of the "scan". If scan point colours were not available in the imported scan data, scan point colours are assigned based on intensity. Scan colours are automatically assigned at the time of import. |
| OK | Save any changes and close the dialog box. |
| Cancel | Close the dialog box without saving any changes. |
| System | Hold all the settings so that they can be used for any new database. |
