LISCAD Lite consists of a subset of the commands in SEE, and provides a low cost field data processing and output solution. The user interface is identical to SEE, ensuring the same ease of use and productivity features.
The functionality of LISCAD Lite allows most of the Field Transfer, Data Conversions and CAD Output task tasks, most of the Utilities task and some of the Computations task of SEE. LISCAD Lite only operates on a Plane Grid, there is no support for projections.
The LISCAD Lite data base is exactly the same as the LISCAD SEE data base. The main difference being that the following data base objects can only be viewed in LISCAD Lite, not created, edited, deleted or used for computations:

- Radiations
- Offsets
- Polygons
- Alignments
- Section Markers
- Corridors of Interest
- Text
- Models & Triangle Textures
- Long Sections
- Cross Section Sets
LISCAD Lite is specifically designed for those who want the advantages and benefits of SEE for their field data processing and exchange with other systems, but for various reasons may not yet need the advanced capability of SEE. LISCAD Lite can also be used as a viewer for files created using SEE.
There is an attractive upgrade path from LISCAD Lite to SEE.
