Sets the default point identifiers for the next normal point or construction point to be created in the data base. Also sets whether point identifiers are to be unique.
The Configure/Point Identifier command is selected from the Utilities task.

| Starting ID | Enter the default point identifier to be used by the system for the next point created. This value is automatically incremented by the system as points are created. When importing points to the data base, this value is only used if the points being imported do not have point identifiers attached. |
| Construction Point Starting ID | Enter the default point identifier to be used by the system for the next construction point
created. Construction points are points which may be created by the system for storage of arcs and circles. This value is automatically incremented by the system as construction points are created. |
| Code | Enter the default code to be used by the system for construction points. |
| Unique Point Identifiers | Set whether unique point identifiers are to be used. If checked, then the system will not allow the creation of a point with a point identifier that has already been used. Attempting to create points with duplicate point identifiers will result in an error message. If not checked, then the system will allow the creation of a point with a point identifier that has already been used. However, a warning message will be displayed whenever this is about to occur. Should you desire to not have duplicate point identifiers, ensure that this check box is crossed. |
