Alignment to Alignment ReportAlignment to Alignment Report

This functionality is available with the Computations Module.

Produces a report which relates points on a selected alignment to another alignment by chainage and offset.

The Report/Alignment to Alignment command is selected from the Plan View Utilities task.

Item Used to
Alignment 1 Select the alignment which contains the points to be referenced to the alignment selected as Alignment 2.
Start Chainage or Start Distance Enter or select the alignment starting chainage or distance of the report.
The name of this field is dependent on what has been set as the Data Input By type in the Configure/Alignment dialog.
End Chainage or End Distance Enter or select the alignment end chainage or distance of the report.
The name of this field is dependent on what has been set as the Data Input By type in the Configure/Alignment dialog.
Alignment 2 Select the alignment along which chainages will be calculated for points on the alignment selected as Alignment 1.
Maximum Offset Enter the maximum offset from Alignment 1, beyond which any Alignment 2 relationship will not be reported.
Perpendicular To Select whether the offsets from Alignment 1 points to Alignment 2 are to be calculated as perpendicular to Alignment 1 or Alignment 2.
Report At Select whether the report is to include Alignment 1 key points, section markers, or both.
(For Section Markers and Key Points without elevations - If there are sufficient key points in the alignment that have elevations, then interpolated elevations for these objects will be computed and reported. These interpolated elevations will be marked with an asterisk * in the report)
Format Select which values are to be in the report and their order.
Note that Grade refers to the grade from Alignment 1 to Alignment 2 along the offset direction.
Output Header Select whether header information is to be in the report.
Header information includes the details of the current data base at the head of the report. These details may also be viewed or edited in the Utilities/Edit/Details command.
Comma Delimited Select that the reported data be comma delimited suitable for opening in spreadsheets.
